Another fantastic National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) Annual Conference has come and gone. NAPM 2025, themed “Blueprint for Building a Bright Future”, marked the end of an era as we gathered one last time at the beautiful Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL, before making the move to Margaritaville Resort in Orlando, FL, for NAPM 2026.
This year’s conference was filled with insightful discussions, engaging sessions, and valuable networking opportunities. From the moment attendees arrived, the energy was palpable, and the sense of community among members was stronger than ever.
Key Takeaways from NAPM ’25
One of the more unexpected moments of this year’s conference was the absence of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, a departure from previous years. Shortly after the event, news broke that DeJoy would be stepping down—a significant development for those in the mailing industry. While his tenure was filled with big changes and strong opinions, his exit opens the door for new leadership and fresh perspectives on the future of USPS operations.
Beyond industry news, NAPM delivered an incredible lineup of sessions.
Day 1 opened with the Annual Business Meeting for NAPM members, followed by USPS Financial Outlook from Michael Scanlon of K&L Gates. Attendees celebrated Ty Inman, recipient of the prestigious Sue Foster award. and heard an inspiring keynote speech from Tim Curtis, Chief Strategy Officer of NaviStone. The day wrapped up with an informative discussion on USPS Network and Service Changes, led by Mark Kolb, Steve Krejcik, and Michelle Zalewski.
A Special Send-Off: The Courtyard Reception
As we wrapped up our final year at Tradewinds, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate than with our wonderful courtyard reception. The setting was perfect—great company, delicious food, and a warm Florida evening that set the stage for meaningful conversations and connections. Attendees also had the opportunity to explore innovative solutions from vendors who truly understand the unique needs of the tight-knit presort mailing industry.
Day 2 featured a keynote speech by Governor Amber McReynolds, USPS Board of Governors Chair, followed by another compelling keynote from Sharon Owens, USPS VP of Pricing and Costing. Sessions throughout the day covered key industry topics. The day concluded with Table Topics Networking and Happy Hour, where members exchanged ideas and built connections.
The final day wrapped up with additional sessions, offering even more valuable insights.
